Municipality of Amsterdam with Placemakers
Nicer environment
The Zuidoost city district wants to improve the area around Strandvliet Station. To do this well, it is important to know what the residents needs are. That is why the Placemakers Foundation conducted a local study at Strandvliet Station.
This showed that there is a need for a refurbished station and more liveliness around the station, a space where there is room for social activities. Placemakers has organized multiple sessions with active residents and organizations in the area: together we are working on Strandvliet as a place for (enterprising) residents.
Did you know that Venserpolder has one of the most Chamber of Commerce registrations in Amsterdam?
Venserpolder has all kinds of 'enterprising residents': people with green fingers, who keep the neighborhood clean, are volunteers or have ambitions to sell (homemade) products and services. These are people with passion who propagate their hobby and also residents with their own business. Venserpolder also has one of the highest number of registrations at the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam. Together with residents and local organizations, we want to give these creative enterprising residents a stage with the Buurt Bazaar Venserpolder
